Eligibility |
Format |
Incoming high school students in grade 9 - 12 who completed two full years of Faith Formation or Catholic school immediately prior to their Confirmation year are eligible to participate in the Confirmation Class. For example, if a student completed two years of faith formation in grades 7 and 8, she may participate in the Confirmation Class in grade 9. If the last year a student participated in faith formation was grade 2, for example, he must complete two full years of faith formation at the middle or high school level before being eligible for the Confirmation Class.

Online Confirmation Classes will meet Sunday mornings, twice a month. There will be at-home work to compete and turn in, as well.
Students will be required to complete a Saint Project and a Sponsor Activity. A Plea to Parents: It's hard to believe, but in past years we have actually had parents complete their high school students' Confirmation homework and Saint Projects for them. Please, parents, do not do this! You are not receiving the sacrament! The material and requirements are not difficult, and are appropriate and in keeping with the importance of what your child will be receiving. We understand that all students are busy, working, involved in extracurricular activities, etc. However, if you find yourself doing your teen's Confirmation homework or Saint Project, now is not the time for them to be confirmed. |
registration
Registration is available on our parish website.
In order to register for the Confirmation Class, students must submit copies of their baptism certificate to the parish office.
If a student was baptized or received first communion at St. Catherine of Siena, we should already have that information. In that case, no baptism certificate will be required.
