How to Help!
Assemble First Aid Kits
Fill small, zip-top sandwich bags with the following items. 5 long band aids 5 alcohol wipes 5 packets of antibiotic cream 5 Q-tips/cotton swabs If you can afford it, put a pair of toenail clippers in, too.
Assemble Food Bags
Fill lunch-size paper bag or large zip-top plastic bag with the following items. 1/2 liter bottle of water Pop-top cans of tuna-in-water or Dinty Moore stew A jalapeño and/or orange and/or banana A paper towel or napkin |
Assemble Sewing Kits
Fill small, zip-top sandwich bags with the following items. A 3 - 4" square of cloth with the following attached to it: 4 large safety pins, needle threader, large-eye needle and two medium-size buttons (about 3/4"). (Secure the buttons and threader with the safety pins.) On an index card cut 4 pairs of notches. Wind 4 yards of thread around each set of notches: red, black, gray or tan, and white. Place the square and the index card in a sandwich bag. |
